Rupi Kaur

A few months ago, I wrote a post about slam poems that I loved. I still like to listen to slam poems that I come across, but recently I discovered Rupi Kaur.

If you’re on Instagram, I’m sure you’ll recognize Rupi Kaur’s poetry. She writes with a distinct style and usually has very unique drawings to accompany her poems.

Rupi Kaur is a Punjabi Canadian who explores her experiences and the experiences of others through poetry.

Her poems can be really short, but they always manage to pack a lot into those few words. Personally, I identify with her work because she writes about female empowerment, but she does explore other themes, such as misogyny and rape.

I went through her Instagram page and gathered my favorite poems for you to enjoy.
